Art in Motion Latin Dancers (AIM) was founded on the principles of unity, teamwork, and commitment to achieve world-class excellence of technique, form, and styling of salsa dance. AIM specializes in other Latin dance genres including bachata, mambo, merengue, cha-cha-cha, and more. Following its debut in February 2004, AIM has emerged as one of the leading salsa dance teams on the East Coast. Within their first two years the team became the top team based in the Philadelphia area and have respectfully earned recognition as "Philly's finest." The AIM team is overseen by World Salsa Dancer and Instructor Darlin Garcia, AIM's founder and artistic director. He has contributed his up-tempo, creativity, and innovative style helping the team shift to a new direction and exceed standards nationwide and worldwide. AIM members have traveled the world teaching workshops and performing in countries including Ireland, Panama, Tokyo, Holland, and United Kingdom. AIM's finest hold state, national, and worldwide championship titles. Members have showcased their talents in the music industry: performing as dancers for singer Gloria Allende, and featuring in music videos for artists like Jill Scott, Orquesta Lucena, and Orquesta La Romana.
